01Who We Are
ChiefRainmaker.com is operated by Profit Worldwide, Inc., a Nevada corporation ("PWI," "we," "us," or "our"). PWI operates several brands, including Chief Rainmaker, Gil Ortega, RainWorks, Rain Engine, XLR, XLR Hub, XLR OS, AffiliateXLR, LinkedIn Recruiting Engine and OBEYY Protocol.
This policy applies to ChiefRainmaker.com and any related page, form, booking page, email or text program operated by PWI that links to it. It works together with our Terms of Use.
02Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, book a call, email us, become a client or buy something, you may give us: contact details (name, email address, phone number); business details (company name, role, website, industry, goals, team size); the content of your messages and anything you tell us on a call; purchase and billing details (what you bought and billing information, with card data handled by our payment processors, not stored by us); and testimonials or feedback you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our host, our visitor tracking provider (unless you opt out) and the tools embedded on our pages may automatically receive device and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. If you open our emails, we may receive basic engagement data such as opens and clicks.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from our scheduling, form and payment providers about bookings and transactions you make, information our visitor tracking provider associates with your visit (such as your company, job title or business contact details, unless you opt out), and publicly available professional information (for example, your company website or public LinkedIn profile).
03Client Data in Our Engagements
When you hire us for consulting or done-for-you work such as RainWorks or the Rain Engine, you may give us access to business data, including CRM exports, deal history, customer and prospect lists, campaign data and internal documents ("Client Data").
We use Client Data only to perform the work you hired us for, as described in your Engagement Agreement. We do not sell it, do not use it to market to your customers on our own behalf, and do not use it to train AI models. You remain responsible for having the right to share Client Data with us and for the notices and consents your own customers and prospects are owed. Where the law requires a separate data processing agreement, we will sign one with you.
Much of this work is installed into your own AI account (for example, your organization's Claude account), so Client Data used there stays in your account under that provider's terms rather than being copied to systems we control.
04How We Use Information
We use personal information to: respond to your messages and requests; schedule and hold calls; deliver the services, products and deliverables you asked for; process payments and keep business and tax records; send you updates, newsletters and offers (you can opt out at any time); understand how the site is used and improve it; protect the site, our clients and PWI against fraud, spam and abuse; and comply with the law and enforce our agreements.
05AI Tools and Your Information
Some of our products and services run on third-party AI platforms such as Claude. When you use those platforms, what you type or upload goes to that platform, not to PWI. We don't receive it, and that platform's own privacy policy governs it.
When we use AI tools ourselves to do work for you, we use business accounts and settings intended for professional use, and we limit what we enter to what the work requires.
06Cookies, Visitor Tracking and Browser Storage
Visitor tracking. ChiefRainmaker.com uses a website visitor tracking tool provided by VisitorTracking.com. When you visit, it uses cookies and similar technology to record your device and usage data (such as IP address, browser, pages viewed, time on site and referring page). The provider may match that data against its own business and consumer data to identify the company you work for and, in some cases, you, including details such as your name, job title, business email or public profile. We use this to understand who is interested in our services, to follow up with relevant businesses, and to improve the site.
Your choice. The first time you visit, a banner explains this and lets you accept or reject visitor tracking. If you reject it, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the tracking tool is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page.
Browser storage. Your browser stores your tracking choice, and on the About page whether the thunder sound effect is on or off, in local storage on your device. These are not sent to us, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Embedded third-party tools. Some pages load tools from other companies, and those companies may receive your IP address and device data, and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies. These currently include: our contact form provider (Fouita); our testimonial widget, which displays LinkedIn recommendations (Elfsight); web fonts (Google Fonts); and our website host. Our booking calendar (Lunacal) and our blog and book sites open as separate pages with their own policies.
If this changes. If we add other analytics or advertising tools (for example, from Google, Meta or LinkedIn), we will update this policy and include them in your privacy choices.
07Email and Text Messages
If you give us your email address, we may send you emails about your inquiry or engagement, plus newsletters and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
We only send marketing text messages if you opt in. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Your mobile information stays with us: we do not share mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
08How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed with: service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, visitor tracking provider, contact-form and scheduling tools, email and text providers, payment processors, AI platforms and accounting and legal advisers, who may use it only to provide their services to us; people you ask us to share with, such as colleagues you copy on a thread or partners you ask us to introduce; legal and safety recipients, when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, safety and property of PWI, our clients or others; and a successor, if PWI is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the information stays subject to this policy.
09Selling and Sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. However, because our visitor tracking provider receives data about your visit and may combine it with its own data, some state privacy laws, including California's, may treat that as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
You can opt out at any time: choose "Reject" in the privacy banner or under "Your Privacy Choices" in the footer, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (we honor it automatically), or email info@profitworldwide.net with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.
10How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy: to work with you, keep required business and tax records, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Contact-form messages from people who don't become clients are generally deleted or anonymized within 24 months. Client Data is returned or deleted at the end of an engagement as your Engagement Agreement provides. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we don't email you again.
11Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If you believe an account or communication with us has been compromised, contact us right away at info@profitworldwide.net.
12Your Choices
Marketing emails: click unsubscribe in any email. Text messages: reply STOP. Browser storage and third-party cookies: use your browser settings to clear or block them. Your information: email info@profitworldwide.net to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it.
13U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to: know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it; get a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete it; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including through visitor tracking; and not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected through this site are: identifiers (such as name, email, phone number and IP address); customer records (such as billing details); commercial information (such as services purchased); internet activity (such as pages viewed and email engagement); approximate location (city or region derived from IP address); audio or visual information (such as call recordings, only with notice); professional information (such as company name and role); and inferences about your business interests, such as interest in our services based on your visit. We collect these from the sources and for the purposes described above, and share them only with the categories of recipients listed in Section 8. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
To make a request, email info@profitworldwide.net or call 415-776-2020. We will need to verify your identity, and you may use an authorized agent. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are not satisfied with the outcome you may contact your state attorney general.
14Rights Outside the U.S.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or a similar jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on these legal bases: performing a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, and compliance with legal obligations.
15International Transfers
PWI is based in the United States, and our service providers operate in the U.S. and other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
16Children
The site and our services are for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact info@profitworldwide.net and we will delete it.
17Third-Party Sites and Platforms
The site links to other sites and platforms, including our booking calendar, blog, book site, XLR Hub, social networks, payment pages and AI platforms. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information, not this one.
18Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to let you know, for example by a notice on the site or by email.
